Sandy Herron built a remarkable career in real estate, earning widespread recognition as one of Thunder Bay’s top-performing agents. As a leading realtor with StreetCity Realty Inc., she consistently achieved the number one sales position for multiple years — a testament to her tireless work ethic, deep market knowledge, and unwavering commitment to her clients. Colleagues often described her as an industry icon, someone whose success was matched only by her generosity in sharing advice and encouragement with newer agents entering the profession.
Her approach to real estate went beyond transactions. Sandy was known for forming genuine connections with clients, many of whom became lifelong friends. Her infectious laughter, positive energy, and sincere care for others set her apart in an industry driven by relationships and trust. Whether guiding first-time homebuyers or assisting long-time residents in major life transitions, Sandy brought compassion, honesty, and professionalism to every interaction.
In 2019, Sandy began transitioning into semi-retirement, choosing to spend her winters in Florida with her long-time partner, Frank. This chapter of her life allowed her to enjoy warmer climates, relaxation, and treasured time with loved ones, while still maintaining ties to the Thunder Bay community she cherished. Even in semi-retirement, she remained a familiar and respected presence among her colleagues and friends back home.
Sandy is survived by her devoted partner Frank, her mother Shirley, and her siblings Donna, Jimmy, and Andrew. Her passing leaves an immeasurable void in their lives, as well as in the broader community that had come to admire her warmth, humor, and unwavering kindness.
A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to honor Sandy’s memory and remarkable contributions. Friends, clients, and colleagues are invited to share online condolences through the Sargent & Son Funeral Chapel website or by visiting her memorial page on Tribute Archive.
As Thunder Bay reflects on Sandy Herron’s life, her legacy remains one of excellence, friendship, and heartfelt service. She will be remembered not only for her extraordinary success in real estate but for the joy, laughter, and compassion she brought into the lives of so many.
