Stockton University Lockdown – A tense situation unfolded Thursday afternoon in Galloway Township, New Jersey, after a reported shooting near Stockton University prompted a campus-wide lockdown. Students, faculty, and staff at the university’s Galloway campus were advised to stay away until further notice as police launched a manhunt for two suspects connected to the incident.
Authorities said the shooting occurred just before 1 p.m. on Jimmie Leeds Road near Redwood Avenue. According to initial reports, one individual was wounded in the attack. The victim was transported to AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center’s City Campus in Atlantic City, where they are currently receiving treatment. Their condition has not yet been made public.

Police described the getaway vehicle as a white sedan. Witnesses reported seeing the car turn onto Vera King Farris Drive, heading northbound through Stockton’s campus, shortly after the shooting. As of Thursday evening, the vehicle had not been located.
The suspects remain at large. University alerts provided a description of one of the individuals: a white male passenger, wearing a green shirt, with long blond hair. The identity of the second suspect and further details about their involvement have not been released at this time.
