Amy Blanc Lacy Death – The Jefferson County, Tennessee, community and the broader film industry are mourning the untimely loss of Amy Blanc Lacy, who tragically passed away following a devastating car accident. Amy was traveling with her two sons, Adrian and Oliver, when another vehicle struck them at high speed. While her boys sustained only minor injuries and have since been released from the hospital, Amy suffered catastrophic brain and spinal injuries. Despite the best efforts of medical professionals, her injuries proved fatal.
Her passing represents an immeasurable loss to her family, friends, colleagues, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Amy’s journey was marked by creativity, intelligence, and a deep love of storytelling. She pursued her passion for film and writing with remarkable determination, earning an MFA in David Lynch Screenwriting and Meditation at the Maharishi International University. She also studied Editing at UCLA, where she refined her technical skills and developed an expertise in Script Supervising.
As a proud member of IATSE Local 161, Amy’s reputation as a script supervisor was built on her meticulous attention to detail and unwavering professionalism. Colleagues recall her not only as a talented professional who elevated every project she touched but also as a supportive collaborator who brought warmth and kindness to set. Her ability to blend artistry with structure left a lasting impact on productions and the people she worked alongside.
Beyond her professional achievements, Amy’s greatest joy came from her role as a mother. She was deeply devoted to her sons, Adrian and Oliver, nurturing their creativity, resilience, and individuality. Friends and family remember her as a mother who infused her home with laughter, compassion, and unconditional love.
Amy was known for her vibrant personality and unshakable love for animals, nature, and all living things—though she humorously made an exception for ticks. Her generous spirit, humor, and kindness touched countless lives, leaving behind cherished memories of her warmth.
Even in her final moments, Amy’s compassion extended far beyond herself. As an organ donor, her choice gave new life to more than 46 individuals, ensuring that her legacy of generosity will endure for generations to come.
After days on life support, her family made the heartbreaking decision to honor her wishes. On September 5, 2025, surrounded by loved ones, Amy passed peacefully.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, September 6, from 2–5 p.m. at her Atlanta home, allowing friends, family, and colleagues to gather and honor her memory. A private green burial will follow on Sunday, September 7, with additional gatherings planned in the future.
The family has expressed deep gratitude for the overwhelming support, prayers, and kindness they have received during this difficult time.
