Carolyn Nash Glenview, IL Death – With heavy hearts, the Glenview community mourns the loss of Carolyn Regina Nash, a beloved daughter, sister, niece, cousin, colleague, and friend, who passed away on August 28, 2025, at the age of 30. Carolyn’s life, though far too short, was a shining example of courage, determination, and boundless love. Her presence was a gift to all who knew her, and her absence leaves an immeasurable void.
Born and raised in Glenview, Carolyn was the cherished daughter of Nancy (née Foran) and James Reginald Nash Jr. and the devoted sister of James Reginald Nash III. She was deeply loved within her extended family, including many aunts, uncles, cousins, and her grand-aunt, Ellen O’Connell. Though preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Carole Foran and James and Regina Nash, Carolyn carried their legacy of kindness, integrity, and resilience throughout her life.
Carolyn’s early years in Glenview reflected her energetic and driven spirit. A 2013 graduate of Glenbrook South High School, she excelled in both academics and athletics, most notably as a dedicated soccer player whose commitment on the field exemplified her passion for teamwork and perseverance. She continued her education at the University of Iowa, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies, alongside Sports and Recreational Management, in 2017.
Her career at CDW as a Corporate Account Manager highlighted her professional skill, leadership, and compassion. Known for her strong work ethic, sharp mind, and ability to connect with others, Carolyn was highly regarded among her colleagues. Her professional journey was not only about personal success but also about lifting others and creating a supportive environment wherever she went.
One of Carolyn’s most defining qualities was her resilience. A cancer survivor, she faced life’s toughest challenges with bravery and optimism. That same perseverance guided her in every endeavor, allowing her to inspire those around her with her unwavering strength.
Beyond her professional and personal achievements, Carolyn embraced life with a sense of adventure. An avid traveler, she visited nearly 20 countries, immersing herself in different cultures and experiences. Whether traveling solo or accompanied by friends and family, she carried with her an open heart and a fearless spirit. Her journeys reflected her insatiable curiosity and zest for life.
Carolyn’s personality radiated warmth, wit, and sincerity. Outspoken yet compassionate, she had an extraordinary gift for making others feel valued and included. Her infectious laughter and quick humor left lasting impressions, while her kindness and empathy created bonds that will endure in memory.
Her passing is deeply felt by family, friends, and the countless people whose lives she touched. Yet, Carolyn will be remembered not for the brevity of her life but for the depth of her love and the light she brought into the world.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 3, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Friedrichs Funeral Home in Mt. Prospect. A Funeral Mass will follow on Thursday, September 4, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help in Glenview, beginning with visitation at 10:00 AM and Mass at 11:00 AM. Interment will take place at All Saints Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention, honoring Carolyn’s legacy of courage, compassion, and love.
