Amanda left this world following her courageous and selfless decision to undergo a second lung transplant. Her journey was marked by strength, resilience, and an unwavering determination to live fully and love deeply, despite the many health challenges she faced throughout her life.
Amanda is survived by her devoted parents, Janice Roback Caruso and Steven Caruso; her beloved siblings, Karli, Leeanna, and Trevor Caruso; her fiancé, Matthew Henning; her future in-laws, Noreen and the late Michael Henning, and Michael Henning Jr.; her cherished grandmother, Stephanie Roback; and the extended Roback and Caruso families who adored her.
From the very beginning, Amanda was a fighter. Diagnosed with a rare lung disease as an infant, she received a double lung transplant at just 17 months old. This extraordinary gift allowed Amanda to experience childhood and young adulthood with laughter, learning, and love. Despite ongoing health challenges, she refused to let her condition define her or limit her dreams.
A proud 2014 graduate of Webster Thomas High School, Amanda pursued education with determination. She earned her esthetician license from the Continental School of Beauty, completed an Associate’s Degree in Health Information Technology at Monroe Community College, and most recently became a certified Oncology Data Specialist. Her professional life was a testament to both diligence and compassion.
Amanda’s career included work at Bill Gray’s Restaurant, Hand and Stone Spa, Unity Hospital, and Rochester Regional Health. She also nurtured her creative side through her handmade jewelry business, Tiny Woman Creations, which brought joy to many. Through her work and creativity, Amanda touched countless lives, offering kindness, care, and inspiration.
Beyond her professional achievements, Amanda became a beloved presence on social media. Her honesty, humor, and bravery in sharing her health journey inspired thousands, bringing hope and awareness to those facing similar struggles. Her radiant personality and courage left a lasting impact far beyond her immediate circle of family and friends.
Amanda will be forever remembered as a daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, cousin, fiancée, and friend. She was a source of joy, positivity, and unconditional love—her spirit leaving a lasting legacy of resilience and hope.
